PKD "Doughnut" With Honey Sauce

This honey-sweetened PKD dessert is very satiating, so be aware that a small portion will be enough;) The fat to protein ratio is 2:1.

Serves 2-3


  • 1 whole egg

  • 50 g pork greaves (cracklings)

  • 2 egg whites

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 1-2 tsp honey

  • 2-3 tbsp lard for frying


  • Mix the whole egg and the greaves with a hand mixer until smooth and let stand for 10 minutes.

  • Whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff.

  • Fold the egg whites in the greaves mix.

  • Heat the lard in a small pan. Take small portions of the dough with a teaspoon and fry both sides in the lard until golden.

Serve with PKD honey sauce:

whip the egg yolks with the honey with a hand mixer until light and foamy.
