Carnivore Cake

This is a fancy "cake" for my fellow carnivores and my friends who follow the Paleolithic-Ketogenic Diet. It's perfect for Valentine's Day, birthdays or any other special occasion. This "cake" is dairy free, egg free and, of course, free from any plants.

Nutritional value per serving: 440 ; 37 g fat; 1 g carbohydrate; 25 g protein

Ingredients - makes 5 servings

140 g, 4 very thin slices of beef

65 g thin slices of bacon for the roses

15 g bacon for the bottom of the cake

30 g thin dried ham slices

300 g ground lamb, 30% fat

80 g beef liver

60 g bone marrow

Salt

Method

Prepare five bacon roses. Depending on the size of your bacon, take 1-3 strips, and starting at one end, roll it up tightly to form a rosette. Secure the roll with two toothpicks, close to the bottom to form a cross - or as you can manage it;) Fry in the air fryer at 200 °C for about 4 minutes until crispy.

Line an 18 cm round cake form with parchment paper. Line the sides with the meat slices allowing them to overlap the edges. Cover the bottom of the pan with the bacon and ham slices.

Blend the liver with the bone marrow and mix with the ground lamb. Salt to taste.

Spoon the mixture into the form and cover with the overlapping meat slices.

Bake in the oven at 180 °C for about 35-40 minutes. Take it from the form, let cool for 5 minutes, decorate with the bacon roses and serve.
